The Wave Sport Recon is a new displacement hull creek boat that comes in three sizes. With lots of input from creek master Bryan Kirk and other WaveSport team members, the Recon is WaveSport’s answer to the recent wave of displacement hull creek boats, like the Pyranha Shiva and Liquid Logic Stomper or Jackson Villain.
“The continuous rocker profile combined with the unique distribution of volume makes the Recon very fast and easy to boof. The unique volume in the bow and its pronounced, upswept shape make the Recon resurface and unload water quickly when blasting through holes, while the domed stern deck minimized back-ending in holes and drops. The location of the full stern chine combined with the generous side wall flare provides superb secondary stability and substantial control when carving, moving across a current, or tracking.”
Looks like corporate would have done well to run terms like “back-ending” and “moving across a current” by the likes of Bryan Kirk, but we’ll cut them some slack. As the video below demonstrates, the team had a lot of input on the design, so it’s got a good shot at being a winner.
